A petite Art Deco table lamp by Marius Ernest Sabino (1878-1961). Sabino was an Italian-born Parisian who presented regularly at the design fairs and was recognized for his lighting design and innovative glasswork. The frosted glass shade of this small lamp represents the cascading water of a fountain, one of his well-known creations. The interior of the glass shade is marked ‘Sabino 4640 Paris Deposé.” The unpolished (and patinated) silvered bronze base reflects the theme of flowing and rippling water in a grooved pattern. Rewired for US outlets with a black silk switch cord.
